Freedom is escape from the world around you  it can be explored in many different ways. In The Count of Monte Cristo and Blessings explore the theme in different ways freedom.  

          First in the book The Count of Monte Cristo Edmond Dantes finds freedom in a different ways. Edmond learned about freedom.First way that he shows freedom.  “For a week since he resolved to die, and during the four days that he had been carrying out his purpose” When Edmond took that bite of the food a felt free he felt like a new person that it was worth staying alive when he heard that prisoner  he knew that he had a chance. That he shouldn't give up if he fought he would have a chance to get out.Second way he shows freedom is  “ It is a prisoner said Edmond joyfully.”He knew he was going to be free so when he found out that is was a prisoner he knew that he had a chance he kept hope. That is what I think they express freedom in The Count Of Monte Cristo.

Second in the play From Blessings Rene and Jesse find different ways to express freedom.First one way Jesse shows freedom or escape . First  “ High as you can get without ropes.See that ridge?Sheer rock-face.I scale that once a year. Since I was twelve.it’s my test” When Jesse says this you can tell he comes up here to get away from things to escape reality just to take in the world around him.He has looked at things in detail around him when he describes them in detail. Second one way Rene shows freedom or Escape is when. " Man I got to bring my paints up here." You know she does this for fun because she wants just to look at the sky and savor it and free reality and that is how Renee gets free and that is one way I can tell she does it for fun.
